As part of a community book pledge, Swineshead Pre-school will be taking part in a sponsored listening and reading event taking place this March. Swineshead Pre-School Centre gives children the chance to grow in confidence in a safe, stimulating and fun learning environment with highly skilled staff offering a variety of adult-led activities while also allowing children the space to be creative with child-initiated play.
As the importance of listening and reading for our next generation is greatly relied upon, Doubleday kindly donated the complete collection of Tractor Ted books to increase their reading resources. Upon delivery of the books also came a visit from a John Deere 6250R where the children became a farmer in the making by taking to the seat and learning about what a tractor looks like up closely. Marketing Assistant of Doubleday Group, Zoe Chappell commented "It was with great pleasure to support Swineshead Pre-School and to see their faces light up when seeing the tractor arrive. It is important to encourage young people and be introduced to the agricultural industry at a young age, so they have a greater understanding as to where their food and products comes from.”
