We are saddened to announce the passing of our company founder Mr John William Doubleday (JWD) who passed away peacefully at home on 6th June 2018.
The family wish to celebrate his life by inviting you to join them for his memorial service to be held at St Mary Magdalene Church, Gedney on Friday 29th June 2018 at 2:00pm, traditional dress code not required.
Everyone is then welcome to join us all for a celebration of his life at our Holbeach St Johns depot, a chance to share stories and remember a life lived to the fullest, a Hog Roast and refreshments will be available.
As some of you will have witnessed, Mr Doubleday had started to tire over recent years however he remained passionate and determined to the end. We were fortunate enough for him to have visited the Holbeach depot just a few weeks ago on the evening of our 100-year John Deere tractor event, and we are all confident that he was very proud of the achievements of the team as it is today and how the business has evolved and grown throughout the years.
Whilst we are all sad, we must take this time to remember and celebrate what a strong, determined character he was and the wonderful achievements that he made throughout his 85 years.
The memorial service and life celebration will be held at :
