The Doubleday service team consists of 20 service technicians operating across the group. Our technicians are trained to our manufacturer’s factory standards, as well as attending regular training updates on new products as and when they are launched. Upon completion of a Technician apprenticeship, our technicians are registered with the LTA (Landbased Technicians Accreditation) scheme and throughout their career work towards LTA4, the highest level of achievement. For John Deere product, the majority of training is done at John Deere’s UK Headquarters at Langar, Nottinghamshire. Here technicians carry out routine repairs and diagnostics under the close watch of factory trained John Deere personnel.
With technology becoming such a mainstream part of modern day agriculture, we at Doubleday are also mainstreaming it within our business in order to streamline yours. Not only are our technicians trained in-house on the basics of John Deere and Vaderstad precision farming methods, we are also finding great advantages of telematics systems such as JDLink.
JDLink gives Doubleday, your John Deere dealer, the ability to log onto your machine, view the location, view the vital statistics, view any error codes that may have occurred thus remotely diagnosing a potential fault. Not only that, we can manage your machinery service intervals by simply looking on JDLink for the hours worked on that machine, so we can help you plan your upcoming workload for that particular machine.
JDLink Connect can send operators alerts on the JDLink website or mobile app to let them know when maintenance is due. In turn, this can keep equipment users up to speed on inspecting and upgrading their machinery when necessary.
JDLINK MOBILE APP
With the JDLink mobile app, managing equipment on an iOS or Android device is a breeze. These apps allow individuals to review machine information on the go. Individuals can also view the locations of their machines, access directions to machines from any area, and view the ground speeds of their equipment.
JDLink Connect allows operators to monitor machine settings remotely and offers recommendations, enhancing productivity during harvest.

- NSTS sprayer testing
Our NSTS trained technicians can carry out your NSTS test for any make of Self Propelled or Trailed Sprayer.
- Annual Out of Season Service Inspections
A particular benefit for your harvesting machines and sprayers. If we can inspect your machine and carry out any necessary repairs during the months you are not using it, not only does this minimise your downtime but it also means that you can take great advantage of “Out of Season” offers on most related parts.
- Dynamometer Testing
The Doubleday service team can offer PTO dynamometer testing – very often this is used as a useful tool to help diagnose and assess problems quickly. We can however also offer the service should you wish to test the power output of any of your tractors.
- Air Conditioning
Our certified Air Conditioning technicians are able to test, repair and service your air conditioning systems on any of your machines.
- Trailer Brake Testing
With safety in mind, and tractors getting quicker each year, Trailer Brake testing is a very important service offered by Doubleday. We can check your trailers, whether air braked or hydraulic braked, test for operation and advise on servicing or repairs if deemed necessary.
- Security Installations
Doubleday is a certified Cesar DataTag installer for Lincolnshire and Norfolk, we can retrofit a DataTag kit to any of your farm vehicles/machinery including anything from your combine to a car trailer or quad bike. We are also recognised installers of the Vapormatic Thatcham approved Immobiliser. Most insurance companies will provide a discount on your insurance if a Cesar DataTag and / or immobiliser is fitted.
